Chapter 13
“Pfft!”
“Shut up.”
“I haven’t said anything!”
Yves pinched his best friend’s side as the other fought the hardest not to laugh while they were on their way home. He knew the likelihood of Timothy making fun of him after hearing the story, but no matter how embarrassing it was, it always felt good to have someone to share even the silliest experience he had.
“Can I see the dance?” Timothy chided, laughing despite the pressure clawing at his side.
“Shut up already!” Yves yelled, but he also broke into fits of giggles, infected by the sound of Timothy’s laughter. “I hate you, Tim.”
The glimmer of Timothy’s grin didn’t fade. He only swiveled and started walking backward while staring at him.
“What?”
“Did it upset you?”
“Not really, but…” Yves groaned. “It’s still embarrassing, though. Like, imagine your boss catching you doing a weird dance in front of his unconscious son.”
“Not to mention he’s the guy you like,” Timothy added
