Chapter 7
Collin stared at Ysabelle for a long time, and then he shifted his gaze towards Aubrey. Was she acting or what? She seemed to be perplexed as well. After the rush and forced wedding, she invited him to have a meal.
“Sit down,” she said.
“After what happened?” Collin asked in disbelief. How could she remain calm despite what happened?”
“Yes. I am hungry, and I bet you are hungry as well,” she said calmly.
“We need to talk about it,” he insisted.
“And that’s why I’m telling you to sit down,” she told him while lifting the raising the tip of her eyebrow. The man assumed he was the only one who was being compromised in their new situation. “Look, I know you are stressed about earlier, but I am also stressed because of it, Collin. The least we can do is to sit down and discuss our options.”
