“Remember what?” Jessica asked, confused.
“You really do not remember?” Xavier asked, studying her face. “Now I am very hurt that you do not remember.”
“Did I lose some memories?” Jessica asked, staring into space.
“I can’t believe you have forgotten when you were the one who suggested it,” Xavier said.
A wave of remembrance washed over her. She remembered how she wanted to be in a comfortable position with him and suggested that they become friends. His attitude had not made it easy for them.
