Chapter 26
“How are you going to do that, Gianni?” she asked, holding a confused look, the machines in her head turned to help her understand, but she had no clue for now.
“It’s very easy, and don’t worry about Gaetano. I can handle him perfectly,” he replied.
It was hard to focus on the papers she had to sign with Gianni’s words playing in her head like a beautiful love song.
She leaned back in the office chair, which used to belong to her father, and smiled.
“Larissa Lana Di Martino,” she tasted her new name on her tongue and felt a large amount of happiness booming through her. She couldn’t believe that she was bearing his second name, not as a sister but as a wife.
She knew she had to work on some papers and finalize a few things, but how could she do it with all these thoughts? Her thoughts moved over to her mother.
