Chapter 28

He walked into his room with his sister trailing behind. Not even once did his eyes leave her face throughout the whole journey. He placed her on the bed carefully cause, at this moment, in his eyes, she was like a beautiful piece of glass.

Stephanie sat on the other side of the bed with the first aid kit that she managed to get from her room after seeing her brother get out of the car with Larissa. She placed the kit on the bed and stood up again. “I will go call the doctor,” she said, but Gaetano didn’t even seem to have heard her, and she understood.

He just kept staring at Larissa. He wasn’t thinking anymore but kept waiting for her to open her beautiful silver eyes and look at him lovingly. He was waiting for her to wake up and whisper his name. He just loved the way it rolled off her tongue, exposing her accent.
