My stomach fluttered with a mix of nerves and excitement. As a quiet dinner with Daniel was exactly what I desperately needed.
He had called earlier, his voice soft, almost hesitant, inviting me to his place; a warm wave washed over me just thinking about it.
I rang the doorbell as my heart fluttered thinking about the whole experience, then the door swung open—revealing Daniel standing there.
