Sienna’s POV
The TV glowed with a sickening brightness, casting a cold light across my living room.
The news anchor’s voice, usually a calm drone, now felt like a hammer striking my temples.
“Breaking news,” she had declared, her smile too wide, too eager.
Then the image of Ellie flashed on screen, radiant, triumphant, clinging to Daniel’s arm.
And her words, “I am Daniel Walter’s girlfriend… turned fiancée,” echoed in the quiet of my condo, twisting the air, curdling the blood in my veins.
My world, which just hours ago felt so safe, so right, so utterly loved, shattered into a million sharp, painful pieces.
