The door to my private office slammed shut, echoing the fury that rattled through my bones.
I had dragged Ellie here, away from the flashing cameras, away from the shouting reporters, away from the stunned, betrayed look on Maya and Zoe’s face.
My hands were clenched into fists, my jaw tight, every muscle in my body screaming with raw, uncontrollable rage.
This was not the plan.
