Chapter 74
Sienna’s POV
The jazz music swelled, a saxophone solo weaving through the air, creating a rich, romantic melody.
Daniel looked at me, his eyes gleaming with a new question. He held out his hand. “May I have this dance?” he asked, his voice low, inviting.
My heart hammered against my ribs. A dance. In his living room. Surrounded by candlelight, after such an incredibly thoughtful dinner. It was almost too much, too perfect, too vulnerable.
But my heart screamed yes. Without a moment’s hesitation, I placed my hand in his; his fingers closed around mine, warm and secure, pulling me gently to my feet.
He led me to the center of the spacious living room, away from the table, into the soft glow of the candles. He pulled me close, his arm wrapping around my waist, drawing me against his strong body; my other hand rested lightly on his shoulder.
We swayed slowly to the music, just two bodies moving as one, lost in the melody, lost in the moment. Hi
