Chapter 107
The warm rays of the sun fell softly through the sheer curtains, kissing Ayleen’s face as she stirred from her slumber. Her eyes fluttered open, and the first thing she noticed was the empty space beside her. As usual, Murat was nowhere to be found.
She sighed, running her fingers through her messy hair. How does he do this? Sleep late and still wake up before me. The man was an enigma she wasn’t sure she wanted to solve.
Dragging herself out of bed, she freshened up and slipped into a light cotton kurta. As she descended the staircase, the faint sounds of clattering cutlery and low conversation greeted her. Entering the kitchen, her steps faltered at the sight before her.
There he was, clad in a gray Adidas t-shirt and matching trousers, rummaging through the cabinets with an air of authority. Two maids hovered nearby, their expressions a mix of horror and confusion as they watched Murat take charge.
“Good morning, begum,” he greeted her warmly
