Chapter 10. New Me

“You’ve been surged,” Becky said, helping Jimmy to his feet. Good thing the flashes of lightning had disappeared, but Becky couldn’t make head or tail of what the words she said meant since Alicia had not given her a logical explanation about what that meant.

Jimmy stared at Becky with all keenness. 

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“It means you are now a god on planet Earth…” 

Alicia cut in, not allowing Becky to speak further. She moved closer to Jimmy and continued, “You came in contact with our power surge, which I believe has given you the abilities of a god.”

Jimmy smirked in a silly way. “I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. I just woke up from a weird dream!”

“That dream was a result of what you have acquired. It’s…” Alicia began.

“Hold on a sec…” Becky interrupted. She cast a burning side gaze at Alicia. “I thought you said you had no idea what happened?”
