Chapter 27. Getting Things Done
Some Years Ago
“You have to devise a means for our species to live peacefully with the human species,” said Queen Shyba. She rolled her hand on the king’s chest and whispered, “We can learn their language and lifestyle.”
Queen Shyba was Alicia’s mother, the only person close to her who understood her feelings. She never liked the idea of her daughter being betrothed to General Ail’s son, Enzo.
“My cabinet will not be pleased,” the king disputed. “I will lose my crown if they find out I want to subject them to live like the human species.”
The king was always skeptical when it came to the issues of the human species. He never trusted them, even though he had opened Planet Z for NASA to exploit. He always kept a watchful eye, monitoring every step they took.
“We can’t keep living like this,” said Queen Shyba. Sliding down from the bed, she cast a sidelong glance at the king. “One way or another, I will embrace their lifestyle.”
