Chapter 49. What’s That Sound?

Jimmy leads the way into the dark sewer as Becky followed right behind him with her weapon strapped around her.

Rufus was behind them. He continued to mumble and mumble. He never liked the idea of checking it out. ‘This is a bad idea,’ he debated with Jimmy. He finally gave in but continued to mumble as they climbed down the sewer.

The night is already upon them. Continuing their journey will only sell them out, as the light from the truck they found would easily be seen at night by the creatures after them.

Jimmy steadied the torchlight in his hand and pushed the button to light his path. He continued following the scratching sound in the direction it was leading him.
