When Claire saw a side of Hunter that was so evil, even her wolf whimpered and went to the back of her mind. She didn't say anything and tried to avoid his soul-destroying gaze.

Hunter, however, grabbed her chin hard and made her look at him. Hunter looked right into her eyes. His handsome face was angry at first, but then he showed a little bit of regret.
