“I am going to ask you this question once, Daria, and I expect an answer,” I said, holding the woman against the wall as she glared at me. “What the fuck are you doing here?”

The fact that she was here right now was a risk itself, and though I knew that she was the one person who was well aware of the entrances and exits of the Estate, I couldn’t help but wonder how she got in here and when she did. The idea of Eleanor finding out about her in my room was not something that I wanted. It wasn’t the fact that I was doing something wrong, but it was the fact that I didn’t want to push her away by letting her think that I might have someone in my life when I wanted nothing more than to be with her and her alone. However, at this point, that was something that I had to think of later.

What mattered now was the main motive behind what this woman was up to, and judging by her expression, I could tell that she wasn’t here for a shot of vodka.

“I heard that yo
