By the time I made it back to the house, my whole body felt like it was vibrating. My wolf prowled under my skin, pacing, restless. The walls of the pack house felt too small, the air too heavy.
And I wanted nothing more than to break everything that was around me.
But I didn't do that. Instead I walked inside Kai’s room knowing that he was awake.
“Hey.” I said, standing beside the door frame. I didn't have it in me to walk inside. I didn't even know whether or not I should. After everything, my outburst, my anger, I wasn't even sure how I would be able to look at him, to look at anyone. He had spied on me. But he was my friend regardless, and he was in pain. I knew that I couldn't hold it on him. At least not now.
