Chapter 68. First Date

Celeste’s POV

I was in a state of being between awake and asleep, a soft dreamy moment but I felt aware of my surroundings. I heard two voices arguing from what sounded like downstairs, but I couldn’t tell if it was actually happening, or a dream I was having.

After snoozing some more, I allowed myself to drift off and I dreamt of Savannah. I hadn’t seen her in such a long time, why was she on my mind now. That evil woman was the last thing I needed wrecking my perfect evening.

I was suddenly stirred by a weight shifting next to me. The bed covers pulled up to expose my naked flesh to the cool air before being tucked tightly back inside the warmth.
