Chapter 45

Mia POV

I pleaded with my mother to stay a few days and begrudgingly she agreed.

I had promised to return Axel to his rightful place as my father’s heir and I would make good on that promise.

Here I was, two guards behind me, standing before the house that served as my home for many years yet never felt like home.

I was here on my father’s request. I had received a message from him saying he had something important to discuss with me. I didn’t know what he wanted but I knew one way or another, I was going to get what I wanted from him.

I took a deep breath and looked around, it was exactly as I had left it.

“What are you doing here?”

I turned around to see Teresa behind me, glaring so hard that I thought she would shoot laser beams from them.

“This house belongs to my father. I have every right to be here”

She sneered. “Were you thrown out after they realized how much of a slut you are?”

I pressed my lips together in
