Rina POV

I stepped into the pack house and it smelled exactly the same. A soft earthy smell mixed with a trace of Lukas’ scent. Musk and cedarwood.

I looked around, taking it all in. It’s been so long since I stepped foot in these halls.

“Luna Mia” a servant called in greeting, bowing respectfully. This place, that title should have been mine from the get go. But she came into the picture and ruined it. Now, I had to pretend to be her.

The thought angered me to no end but I had no choice.

I stopped at his study and knocked twice with no answer. I took a deep breath and pushed the door open.

It was dark and empty.

I entered and slowly brushed my fingers against the cold surface of his desk. I picked up his jacket which was draped on his chair and buried my face in it, inhaling his scent like my life depended on it.
