Lukas POV

I stormed down the stairs, my chest heaving with frustration.

I reached the grand foyer and slowed to a stop. The whole damn council of elders were here and when they gather like this, it’s never good news.

They were engaged in a heated argument with Michael and Kate who refused to let them come in any further.

Michael saw me first and furrowed his brows “I heard gunshots coming from your study? What was that about?”

I waved it off. “It’s nothing. What’s happening here?”

“There he is!” Elder Zaccheaus, Rina’s grandfather, who seemed to be the leader, pointed at me.

“What is this about? You can’t just barge in here” I said, temper rising.
