Chapter 27. Danger Alerts
Kristain sighed as he walked into his bedroom, hating what he was about to do. He knew what kind of person Carlos was. He would lose his focus and come home to be with the pack, and it pissed him off that the Hell Pride Pack would make Carlos disrupt his plans. He growled. What a bunch of losers.
He cleared his throat, dialing Carlos, hoping the other didn’t pick up the call so he could avoid telling him and tell his father he had called. He didn’t want to call Carlos, but neither did he want to lie to his father.
“Hey, brother.”
Kristain groaned, closing his eyes as Carlos’s voice boomed through the phone. He could detect that he was in a happy mood, and he felt all the more disgusted about the call he had to make.
Carlos picked up on the groan and frowned. “Is something going on at home? Didn’t you call because you missed me?” he teased.
