Chapter 28. The Party

Selena gushed over Riyadh as she smoothed her gown down with her fingers. She smiled at the stones attached to the cloth blinking in the glare of the bulbs shining brightly in the room. She added a last touch to her makeup and straightened up, flexing her back.

“You look so beautiful, mistress,” Selena smiled.

“Thank you,” Riyadh grinned. She couldn’t believe she was truly having a party to celebrate being Kristain’s mate. She could finally see whom she took her dramatic attitude after. It was her dad. She fluffed the gown, loving the way it sat on her, and moaned at how it felt as she ran her hands through it. “This gown is beautiful,” she smiled.

“Just as its owner,” Selena smiled.

Riyadh snorted. “Don’t flatter me too much, Selena. I’m trying not to get this over my head.”
