Selena closes her eyes to do as the Vampire King asked of her, and suddenly she goes limp in the chair. I instinctively catch her before she can hit the ground, bringing her into my arms. The King sighs from the videolink.

“I should have warned you and her about that little mishap. I am sorry, I was caught up in the moment and opportunity to know for certain if she is our girl.” I look at the video to see regret in his eyes.
