Chapter 17. For You

Selena’s POV

I gasp. “How many died?”

“Five warriors lost their lives today. Between the three that kept an eye on the house and the two border guards they must have encountered.” Caleb answers with a sad voice. I nod. They have a lot to answer for. I silently promise myself to stop the self-blame from now on and keep the focus on the real enemy. They are going to pay for everything that’s happened to me and to the pack members today.

Luna Anna clears her throat after the silence again stretches on. She says she left me clothes for sleep and tomorrow in this room.

Apparently, I was scooped up by Caleb and he announced that if the doctor wanted to see me, he could do so in our room. So I am in his bedroom. Our bedroom as he calls it. She also says that my siblings chose to stay with our parents and come with them in two days’ time.
