I had woken up without Raya by my side and a whole new world to explore but I was frightened. I was scared of this world and honestly a tad bit suspicious of it. So while we had been living in abject poverty we had an uncle that was this well to do? Had it been Raya’s pride that had kept us from soliciting for help or our uncle did not deeply care for us?

Aunt Dina had come to call me for breakfast when she told me that I had nothing to worry about.
