Third Person POV

When things had gone south Lord Christopher had fallen back on the very last plan he had come up with just in case. He had not thought he would have had to use it though. He had signaled to some of his men and in the midst of the confusion they had grabbed Raya and had escorted him out. He had managed to narrowly escape and the only thing he had as leverage was Raya.

He had run into an inn he had booked a forehand and once Raya was dropped on the floor of his room, he stabbed her in several places just enough to weaken her but not enough to make her die. If she died she would be useless in negotiating his freedom.

He knew a manhunt would be ongoing for him. He had never imagined things would turn out this way. He had found out only too late that Keenan had been in the palace all this while following everybody and that he had actually had Raya under his roof the whole time. He had also believed that Finlay’s mother was dead and had not expect
