Chapter 22
Dana’s POV
I could not tell from her smile if she was angry with me or not. Her smile was too polite to be real.
The old woman showed up in front of me again, “Is the food not to your taste?” she asked, but she did not wait for a reply and left the table.
I hoped that I had not offended her, but what would be worse would be if I were to offend my older sister.
Soon, Raya was at my table, and I impulsively said, “I have not eaten anything. I swear I am yet to… I mean…”
“It is fine, Dana. You can eat,” she smiled at me, and I rushed at the food. I was at my fifth spoon when I began to savor the taste of the meal. I couldn’t boast of having eaten a better meal in my life.
“We are only spending a night here,” Raya informed me.
