Raya’s POV

“My heart?” I was puzzled.

“Yes, dear, your heart. I know he will want to argue that he had saved you out of goodwill, but he will lie. He did so because he saw what he liked.” She had a smile I thought was weird on her face.

“But then men are intrinsically the same, even the good ones. Men are simple creatures. They cannot help but be drawn by beauty. Beauty is a powerful weapon, dear. You must learn to harness it,” she said, looking at me intensely.

“Harness it?” I wondered what she meant by that. How could one harness something that came as nature’s gift? Was there a technique to beauty?

“I have observed you. You do not care that you are beautiful. There is nothing to suggest that you are aware of your beauty. You must learn to flaunt it when needed. Beauty does not end with appearance. Rather, it starts with seduction.”

“I do not…”

“I used to think that, but listen dear, seduction is not about luring a man to your bed.
