Chapter 42
Raya’s POV
I awoke very early in the morning. I had told my uncle the previous day that I would be leaving before Dana was up. I did not want to see her tears as I departed as it would only fill me with guilt.
My uncle had prepared a carriage for me before hand to take me back the whole way. I had protested citing reasons such as my criminal status but he had insisted saying that if he had known we would have had to go through such lengths of hardship he would have made special arrangements for our travel.
The carriage was going to take me on a roundabout route back to the cottage I shared with Keenan therefore it would take me about a fortnight to get to him. I had sent a letter ahead of me so he would not worry because I ought to have arrived within a week. However, I had to avoid the light moon park and the routes I had plied in coming here hence my journey had to be lengthened.
