Raya’s POV

“There must be some sort of clue in one of them, do you mind if I go through them myself?” I asked Keenan.

Since my departure from Dana I had been racking my brain as to how two powerless people such as myself and Keenan could defeat the Dark Moon pack. As I had been thinking, a memory of my father making fire by only snapping his fingers crossed my mind. I remembered too that my mother had always teased him playfully that he had best be careful else he wanted to be labeled a wizard. It had then dawned on me that I and Keenan were unaware of our innate abilities.

“Of course not,” came Keenan’s reply.

We spent the rest of the morning sorting through his books that contained information about rituals and noon reading line by line for any clue pertaining to the ritual in question. The truth was that many people did not hold such rituals for their children at birth anymore and as the practice had become uncommon there was very little information
