Keenan’s POV
“It is alright, Your Highness,” I replied with a tight smile on my face.
“If it is, then do join us at the table,” he extended an invite to me.
“I must refuse,” I said with a bow.
“Why? Thallus has no need for guards. He is capable of defending himself should the need arise,” the vampire prince said.
He was a good-natured sort of fellow, and I began to think about the prejudices we had against other kinds. I could feel his sincerity in all that he had said and his mannerisms so far, yet I knew with certainty that Thallus had not one shred of sincerity towards the vampire.
I thought it was time to discard such prejudices and just judge people individually for their personalities. I knew that I would rather have a vampire like Finlay at my table than a werewolf like Thallus.
