Keenan’s POV

The ropes fell through my fingers and I stood frozen on the spot as I watched the vampire open his eyes. I knew indeed that it was guilt that rooted me to the spot. I knew the vampire was innocent, yet I had to do what I had to do and justify it as casualty for my revenge plot.
