Keenan’s POV

The following day Thallus woke up with a high fever. I had expected just as the doctor had predicted that his health would take a turn for worse. Asides the shock that came with his life been in danger there was also the fact that he had consumed poison no matter how little and it was sure to take its toll on his body.

My initial intention for that morning was to re-examine the rubble and continue questioning the head butler and all those I perceived were meant to be responsible for Thallus’s meals. There was also the fact that no one had been guarding the entrance to his room yesterday. I needed to know all the guards who were responsible. It was time to start weeding Lord Christopher’s people out of the palace.
