Chapter 5. Protecting Me

Adrianna’s POV

Hell, I couldn’t believe it. I stood shock-stilled on the spot, unable to move, even though I should have seen this as my chance to run. But for some reason, I couldn’t. My body wouldn’t obey me.

My eyes darted back to the crowd. I caught sight of the pack members still present—Alaric, Giselle, and the elders. The pale, horrified look on their faces confirmed how terrified they were.
