Chapter 13. Stay with Him

Adrianna’s POV

The coldness of the floor and the voices were the first things that woke me up.

Before I could open my eyes, I heard a statement that made me frown. “The Moon Goddess would not mate me with an enemy.” The words echoed in my brain.

The voice sounded angry, and it did not belong to Marcus. Wait. Was I going to get killed without my knowledge?

My body trembled when I heard the loud sound of the door. I opened my eyes as I sat up. I blinked hard to adjust to the darkness of the room.

The first thing I saw was someone sitting on the bed.

My brow furrowed in confusion. “Who are you?” I asked before I could stop myself.

His gaze shifted to me, and the hair on my body stood instantly. Our eyes locked for a brief moment. With the way he looked at me, if eyes could kill, I would be six feet under the ground.

I averted my eyes immediately, my eyes scanning the room for the beast, but he was nowhere to be found.
