Marcus’s POV
I made sure the door was locked. I slid the key into my pocket before going back to the mansion.
That house was known by just a few people: me, the Alpha, and his sister, so I was sure she would be fine.
Moreover, the Alpha had ordered this last night, whispering I should try taking her away to know if truly only her presence can make him turn human.
I even wanted to know what the beast would do. On getting in, I strode to the library, turning on the computer.
I strode through the net, searching for new scholars who could detect and solve the problem.
All the ones I sent messages to had given me the same response. I massaged my temple in frustration.
But I refused to give up, so I continued looking for new ones.
