Chapter 21. Injured

Adrianna’s POV

I sat at the side of the bed, close to the beast, and before I knew what was happening, I dozed off.

I was still asleep when I felt something tingling in my hand, and my body jolted, thinking it was an insect.

“Arggghh,” I screamed loudly, pulling something as I slipped on the book that was on the floor.

I fell flat with something hard on top of me. My brain froze when I realized what I had pulled with me.

Alpha Kael.

My breath ceased as I stared into the Alpha’s brown eyes with our lips on each other’s.

“Umhm…” Suddenly, we heard a voice that made the Alpha frown as he stood.

“I will be outside,” Marcus said again as he hurried outside. My face flushed as I also stood on my feet.

I clutched my hands. I already accepted; today was my last day on earth. I closed my eyes as I awaited my punishment, but no word came out.
