Chapter 38. Possessiveness

Kael’s POV

“Arghh!” she groaned as her body pressed into mine. I stared at her teary eyes.

She bent on her toes. My eyes fell on the soup that had poured all over the table, staining the tiled floor.

Suddenly, I carried her in my arms. I saw her eyes widen.

“Please…”

I didn’t let her finish her statement as I glared at her.

She swallowed her words. I didn’t understand how someone could be so clumsy.

I placed her gently at the edge of the bed. I ran my hand through my hair as I walked away.

I went to the closet and threw on a pair of pants. Going into the restroom, I grabbed a towel and water.

Then I came out of the restroom to where she was. I bent down, placed her feet on my thigh, and massaged her feet with the wet towel.

I heard her sharp intake of breath but ignored it.

Slowly, I rubbed the ointment all over the part of her leg that had turned red.
