Chapter 65. Sudden Disease

Kael’s POV

I sighed heavily, sliding the pants up my waist. I didn’t bother to put on a shirt before I exited the closet.

On getting into the room, my eyes fell on Adrianna, who sat at the edge of the bed.

Immediately, her eyes caught mine, and she stood pointing her index finger at the couch. I frowned, staring behind me was Marcus seated.

My lips twitched. I already knew he was in here. Did she even realize we could communicate through a mind link?

Putting my hand in my pocket, I strode to where Marcus sat, “Greetings, Alpha,” he said as he stood on his feet.

I nodded before taking a seat across from him, “You look stressed,” I uttered.

His hair was scattered, a few of his buttons were left undone, and he looked so disorganized, which was very unlike Marcus.

“There’s an emergency,” he uttered, staring at his twisted hands.

“What emergency?” I asked as I crossed my legs against each other.

He cleared his throat, “A
