Adrianna’s POV
Marcus shifted uncomfortably, “A poison? But it was said to be a blight disease.” He said, a frown crept on his face as his eyes darted from me to the Alpha.
I sighed, “Is this the only sample you have?” I asked.
He shook his head, then he passed a small bag to me. I took it and sniffed it, but it was still the same toxic smell.
“It’s poison,” I said, matter-of-factly.
“Sit.” I heard the Alpha’s voice.
My eyes shifted to him, and he was patting the space beside him. I smiled shyly before sitting beside him.
“So, what makes you think this is a poison?” he asked, staring at me.
I placed the bag on the table, taking one of the leaves and passing it to him, “Take a sniff.” I said, turning to face him.
His brow furrowed as he took it and sniffed it, but it still seemed like he didn’t understand what I was trying to say.
“Don’t you perceive a toxic smell instead of a rotten smell?” I asked.
