Chapter 75. Humiliation

Adrianna’s POV

I felt him lean closer and press a warm kiss on my forehead. The kiss was so soft and gentle, it had my toes curling instinctively.

My heart did a double flip.

He just said he loves me?

Does that mean he is finally accepting me to be his woman?

My heart tightened. I really wanted to open my eyes, to stare into his eyes and see how much he meant what he just said. But no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t.

It was as though my heart, mind, and body were no longer working together.

I held my breath, clenching my fist under the duvet until he moved back and lay beside me.

I exhaled quietly, and just then, I felt his hands on my waist pulling me closer into his chest.

My breath hitched.

I tried to sleep, but I couldn’t. The excitement buzzed through me, refusing my body to sleep.
