Chapter 77. Fainting
Adrianna’s POV
“What’s happening?” I asked, a crease formed between my brows as my eyes darted to the maids on the tiled floor. Their shoulders sat high, almost touching their ears.
“We are sorry, please forgive us, we will not repeat such again,” they both chorused.
My frown deepened. “I heard they offended you, so I brought them to apologize,” Marcus said.
With a stern frown on his face, he waved for the maids to get out, and immediately they dashed out of the room.
Marcus walked to where we were and sat in the chair. “I’m sorry they said that to you,” he said.
I glanced at Bianca, who scratched the back of her head while flashing her teeth at me.
I knew she had told Marcus about what happened, betrayer. “It’s okay,” I murmured before going to sit across from him.
Marcus did not even respond; it was as though he was lost in thought.
I opened my mouth, but Bianca had already beaten me to it. “Is there a problem?”
