Chapter 32
Draven’s POV
My eyes went wide and my lips curved into a small, surprised smile.
“Draven,” she murmured softly.
I blinked and realized we were back in my chamber. How had I gotten here? My memory was a blur from the moment I’d been in the cave with Thea. I recalled only that the demon seized control of me—and then nothing.
The door creaked open. Dorian entered first, and right behind him was Galen. In an instant, Thea burst through and flung herself into my arms. “Draven, I’m so glad you’re all right.” Her tear-streaked face pressed against mine, and she kissed me—right there in front of my mate. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Maeve freeze, then turn and slip out of the room.
I let Thea go and glanced at my brother and Galen. Their grim expressions made it clear that last night had been a disaster for the pack. Worse still, I’d lost control of the darkness inside me. I didn’t want to linger in my chamber another second. There were a thousan
