Draven’s POV

I groaned as I stirred beneath the covers, my bright amber eyes slipping open to land on the beautiful figure of my mate, curled perfectly against me. A contented sigh escaped me as I settled my head beside hers. Last night had been the best night of my life—I could never fully capture the ecstasy that washed over me as we made love. It was pure bliss. She was, without a doubt, the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen.

I leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to her shoulder. Maeve shifted in her sleep and let out a soft moan. Smiling, I grabbed the sheets and draped them over her bare skin. My gaze drifted around the cozy cottage; the sun had already dipped below the horizon, leaving only the soft glow of the hearth. I reached for the clothes I’d discarded last night, hastily pulling them on.
