Chapter 24

"What are you up to, Alpha?" James asked Arnav as soon as he was allowed to enter Arnav's office.

He expected Arnav to be engrossed in his paperwork, but he had not expected him to smile at the question that was thrown at him.

"News travels fast, huh!" Arnav asked sarcastically.

"Really, Alpha? Why did you ask for a human man for interrogation? What is going on? What is there in our culture that is unknown by our race....that...that you have to get the help of a human man?" James asked disgustedly.

Arnav stood up from his seat and approached him. When he was right in front of James, he asked in a serious tone.

"Tell me something, James. Do you think I am stupid that I don't know what I am doing?"

James immediately shook his head in negation.

"You are the most intelligent person I have ever had the honor to meet, Alpha. "

"Then why are you doubting my intellect now?"<
