Nate’s POV

I had never known Brutus to be this unrelenting in his rage.

The anger rolled off him in waves and I was struggling to contain him. The last thing I wanted was for him to force a shift and unleash his rage as he would undoubtedly leave a trail of devastation in his wake in this state.

This was the first time he was losing his composure in an area that pack members could see, ordinarily it was unleashed in private and the combat dummies took the brunt of his physical aggression.

‘Dude, be reasonable! how was I supposed to know she would turn up today? You know I have no say in her being here or not. King Ulfric demanded her to be instated as a ward and there was no way I could have refused.’
