Ember’s POV

I had really enjoyed the time alone with Nate. He was kind, attentive and seemed to want to make sure that I was taken care of. I could feel myself succumbing to the mate bond, and the worries of being caged again slowly slipping away.

He didn’t mock me when I didn’t understand what everything was on the menu. He simply smiled and offered to order for me.

My wolf was ecstatic with the meat heavy dishes, and the different tastes and textures of all the different foods were incredible. I had never imagined that food could provide such pleasure.
