Ember’s POV

I could feel him watching me as I filled his plate but when I turned around and saw the blatant hunger and lust in his eyes, honestly, I was a little scared.

‘There’s no need to be scared Ember. He is your mate. If he didn’t desire you so desperately then we would have a serious problem on our hands.’ My wolf commented dryly as she basked in the attention.

‘I know you keep saying that, but he looks like he wants to eat me…’ I replied hesitantly.

My wolf sniggered.

‘I’m sure you’ll enjoy his attention in the areas that he’s planning to devour.’ she teased.

I could feel my cheeks color in embarrassment as another wave of warmth spread through me and down into areas that I wasn’t familiar with. The unfamiliar feeling wasn’t uncomfortable, it was actually quite nice. and as I passed the plate to Nate, my mind filled with all sorts of thoughts.
