Letter

Finally I arrived at work, Jennifer was waiting for me anxiously outside the elevator with a file in her hand.

“Good morning,” I said and she looked at me like I had grown two heads.

“This file arrived two hours ago from the investigator you hired, someone has been waiting for you in your office for an hour now. Good morning to you, Amelia. Will coffee do you any good?”

I sighed, the way Jennifer spoke showed me how exactly she was feeling about my actions today, I would make it up to her later.

“Coffee...” I said taking the file from her, she hurriedly turned around to walk away if possible you could see the steam coming from her ears. “Jennifer?”

At the sound of my voice she stopped and turned to look at me. “I’m sorry,” I added and that was enough to see a change in her expression.
