He simply stepped backwards, standing directly across from me so that we faced one another eye to eye.

His appearance immediately caught me off guard. Despite the dark clothing which obscured any facial features, his hair was shockingly white—not just white, but platinum blonde!

He looked younger than I expected, although the lines of age on his face made it impossible to determine his real age. He was probably somewhere between thirty and forty years old, judging by his physical build. Though the clothes hid his actual appearance, the way his skin shone with golden light told me that whatever power he possessed was definitely superior to mine.
